Beauty Bar 617 East Seventh Street Austin, TX 78701
Knuckle Rumbler and The Peen Scene Present: THE ZOO WITH CONGOROCK (FOOL'S GOLD RECORDS / ITALY) July 1st at Beauty Bar $5 All Night Long Doors at 9pm Italy's recent electro renaissance has catapulted banger after banger out into the world at large. Yet in the middle of this distorted beat onslaught, young upstart CONGOROCK has managed to distinguish himself in style and approach by synthesizing his influences - from Dancemania 12â³s and hardcore punk to video game cheat codes and Magic: The Gathering - into a unique world of sound all his own. He has an uncanny knack for making music that is both pulverizing and funky, throwing in clever twists and production flourishes where others would be content to merely crank up the volume. Knuckle Rumbler and the legendary Peen Scene is bringing this internationally gifted artist directly to your face on July 1st at Beauty Bar. Supported by DJ Orion and uLovei, this will be a night that will result in fireworks a few days early. So come jump start the holiday weekend right! http://knucklerumbler.com/http://www.thepeenscene.com/http://www.congorock.com/http://djorion.com/http://ulovei.com/ Listen: Congorock and Crookers - SBombers - http://bit.ly/ccAZoP Congorock - Babylon - http://bit.ly/bzHaOE FREE SAILOR JERRY'S RUM AT 10 PM!

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema 1120 South Lamar Austin, TX
Rated G; 103min; Director:Lee Unkrich Location: Alamo South Lamar
In 1995, a small company that made Lifesavers commercials got a chance to make a feature length movie about action figures. In the process, TOY STORY literally revolutionized animated filmmaking, and computer-generated moviemaking suddenly became a viable and profitable mode of production. The reason that film was so successful was even parts technical achievement and honest-to-goodness exceptional production; while the animation looked great, it was the heart-warming and inventive story about a gang of misfit toys, the inspired voice acting of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and a wonderful cast of character actors, and the unforgettable music of Randy Newman that made it a truly tremendous film.
Now Pixar, the company that is synonymous with quality animated filmmaking, is going to do with 3D what it initially did for computer animation: create a breathtakingly beautiful technical achievement infused with the heart and soul that we have come to expect from the great studio. Kid Policy: Children under the age of 6 will only be allowed at screenings that start before 6pm. No children under 3, however, and families with loud children will be asked to leave.
