Capital City Auction - March 11, 2010

It is time to spend the evening bidding on exciting auction packages at the Capital City Auction, a silent and live auction, on March 11, 2010 at the beautiful, historic Roger Williams Park Casino. Some sample packages include overnight stays in Newport, RI; Nantucket, MA; New York City; theatre packages, dine at a different restaurant each month; Red Sox and Patriots tickets and spa treatments - something for everyone. Tickets are on sale, $60 for auction and Preview Party, $50 for Auction, $70 at the door so be sure to get your tickets in advance. Sponsorships are also available for $1000(includes 10 tickets with Preview Party, full page ad, and banner displayed; and $100 (business name in the program book and name displayed at the live auction) - great exposure for your business. Area restaurants are donating a percentage of a day's income in the month of March to support the Live & Learn Program, a social program to help people with early memory loss. Educational Training:

T.E.A.M (Training Employees for Alzheimer's Management)A 6 hour training program designed for staff working with residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. National News:

We received some very good news this past week from the federal Social Security Administration (SSA). Beginning March 1, people with early -onset Alzheimer's disease will be "fast-tracked" for expedited approval to receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits - a policy change that will reduce what used to be a months or years long application process to a matter of days. We are looking for a committed group of enthusiastic individuals to serve as committee members for our Golf Committee. Committee members devote their service to furthering the popularity, success and strength of the Golf Tournament in their communities. They develop publicity ideas, recruit golfers, volunteers and generate awareness about our mission and our wonderful events.
